I didn’t see Tate’s reaction to my gift because I was too focused on opening the one he gave me. The ribbon was complicated, and I struggled to untie it.
“Here, let me,” Tate chuckled, shaking his head in amusement. He took the gift from my hands, his fingers brushing against mine as he swiftly undid the ribbon for me.
I noticed that he hadn’t opened my gift for him yet either—he had only removed the ribbon from the box, but it remained unopened. It seemed like he was waiting for me so we could open them together.
Tate easily untied the ribbon in one quick pull, giving me a smug look. “See? It’s not that hard.” He clicked his tongue mockingly.
I laughed and rolled my eyes. “Sorry, okay?” I grinned sheepishly. “I’m out of energy and brain cells to figure it out.”
“Shall we?” he asked, lifting the box with my gift for him. I nodded, and together, we opened our presents at the same time.
