Chapter 279. Don’t Worry, Ash

After reading Asher’s diaries from our second life—or rather, Ashton’s diaries—and writing down important dates and events I needed to remember on a pad of paper, I stood up and grabbed the time turner. Then, I sat back down on my bed.
I gazed at the time turner and the notes for a long while, my fingers drumming softly against the bed, the silence thick with hesitation. I weighed my thoughts carefully—should I really do this without Asher knowing?
But… I could manage to go back in time without him. After all, I’d read through his diaries. Specifically, the last three. I started with his final diary as Ashton, and, much like his last entry as Aiden, it was written just days after Tate and I—well, our previous selves—died.
In Ashton’s final entry, he had written it days after Dylan—Tate in our past life—died. And nearly a week had passed since Kate—me, in that lifetime—also met her end.
