“Hey, you and Asher… what’s really going on between the two of you, huh?” Sarah raised an eyebrow at me, and she even leaned closer to her phone, probably to emphasize her raised brow and the slight furrow on her forehead.
After that, she placed her phone somewhere—it wasn’t clear if it was on a stand or just something sturdy enough to prop it up—but whatever it was, her phone now stood upright at her side. She was no longer looking directly at me, her attention fully focused on her reflection in her vanity mirror as she meticulously worked on her eyebrows.
“You two are so stupid… dragging Paige and me into whatever this fight of yours is!” Sarah said sharply. She even paused her brow-shaping just so she could point a finger at me with exaggerated annoyance.
“For your information… I’m not dragging you into anything, and it’s not just some random petty fight, okay?” I rolled my eyes, even though she wasn’t looking at me, and sighed heavily right aft
