Chapter 77

Arthur paced back and forth in front of the operating room at St. Mary’s Hospital in London. Rafaela was about to give birth to a baby boy. The due date was still three weeks away, but the newest member of the family had decided to arrive earlier, much to Arthur’s total despair. The entire family was gathered there. The younger children were jumping around, Vanessa, Charlotte, and Mary were engaged in a random conversation, while Matheus and Alanna observed their son’s nervousness from a distance.

“Do you think he realizes how his life is about to change?” Alanna said, embracing her husband.

“He has no idea, and this time, I’m not taking the lead,” Matheus replied.

“Is our Matheus Styles not going to take care of a newborn in the family? Help! An alien replaced my husband!” Half of the hospital gave Alanna a disapproving look while Matheus laughed with embarrassment.

“Stop that right now! I’m just enjoying the empty house. I don’t miss kids running around at
