Chapter 45

Not long ago, Yana convinced Shane to take her medicine, but she had not taken hers yet due to her empty stomach. She found herself sitting on the sofa next to John, the usual air of indifference hanging between them. John was engrossed in a TV program, while Yana was busy exchanging text messages with Ethan.

Ethan proposed, "Let’s walk outside. I am going to pick you up."

Yana, eager for some time outdoors, responded, "That is a great idea. Let’s have some coffee."

"Alright then. I am going to pick you up in a few minutes :) See you!" Ethan confirmed.

Yana promptly shared her address with him and awaited his reply. When none came, she put her phone down and joined John in watching the TV show.

After a while, her phone vibrated again, and she grabbed it excitedly to read Ethan’s message, "I am here. Outside of your house?"

Unable to reply, she approached John instead. "Hey, John. I am just going to walk
