Yana’s POV
As I found myself alone with John in the house, my head throbbed with an unbearable ache. Seeking relief, I decided to lie down on the sofa, while John remained seated on the couch.
"Ouch! I swear, I will never drink alcohol again," I groaned, massaging my pounding head.
"But you appeared to be enjoying yourself at the party last night," John remarked out of the blue, his gaze fixed upon me. I caught his stare, sensing a meaning behind it that eluded my understanding, but definitely held significance.
"Really? I can’t recall a single thing," I responded, rising from the sofa and making my way to the kitchen to deposit my glass in the sink.
The iced coffee had alleviated my headache to some extent, allowing me to stand up straight. Turning around, I was taken aback to discover John standing behind me, having followed me into the kitchen.
"You genuinely don’t remember anything?" he inquired,
