Chapter 61. Shadows of the Past

Lance gently carried Roxanne in his arms, her head resting against his chest, as he stepped away from his car and made his way back to his opulent penthouse. The adrenaline from his encounter with Christopher began to fade, replaced by worry and concern for Roxanne’s well-being.

The blonde had gone to sleep since a while back and throughout the bumpy road, never once woke up. For someone like Roxanne, who Lance knew all to well, this was unusual and brought about worries to his mind.

By the time he arrived at his penthouse, Lance had already called his doctor four times and threatened him well enough and sure enough, by the time he arrived by the door of his penthouse, the doctor was already waiting there.
