Chapter 106. Hangover

Jacob was more than happy to do what Maddie had asked him to do. He sat next to her on the bathroom floor and pulled her close to him. 

These moments were bringing them closer to each other without them even realizing it. Jacob let out a sigh after a few seconds or minutes, and then he asked, “Are you ready to talk about it?” 

Maddie shook her head and pulled closer to the guy, enjoying the sense of comfort and security that he brought her. The memory of what had happened at the nightclub was still fresh in her head, and very vivid that the very reminder of it caused a shudder to run through her. 

She still felt sedated and her body was still responding slowly but it was now much better than how it had been from when she had that last drink at the club.
