Chapter 157. Heat

Maddie was scared, she did not know what to do or say. She just wanted Vanessa to understand that she did not ask for any of this. She wished she could explain that the only reason she was now Luna was because she had attempted to kill Elder Roy. 

She knew that if she dared to explain that, Vanessa would use it against her. And she was tired of people using her like a puppet. That was one of the reasons she did what she did to the elder, she wanted to be free. 

But that kind of freedom caused her another kind.
