“Sh*t, sh*t, sh*t,” Nate muttered. “We don’t have much time.” He continued to twist his claw in the keyhole until they finally heard a click. He pulled his claw out and opened the door, gesturing for Maddie to walk in first.
“Why, thank you, Mr. Gentleman,” She replied, humor lacing her tone as she giggled.
Nate walked into the building and closed the door. It was time, they were now officially too late, but the important thing here was that they were already in the building.
