Chapter 179. Confessions and Feelings

The rain only got heavier, and more flashes of lightning appeared in the air, welcoming the thunderclaps. Maddie stopped away from the window just to be safe and waited for Jacob to say something, for him to say anything. 

After a few more seconds of silence, he finally spoke, “Maddie, can I ask you a question? I want you to be very truthful when you answer this.” 

Maddie felt anxiety and nervousness grip her heart but she replied, “Yeah, Of course.” 

Seconds of silence lingered and Jacob asked, “Do you have feelings for me?”
