The town was situated on a very flat terrain and they were not far from an ocean, though it would take almost two to three hours of driving to actually see it. There were also a lot of trees around them, considering that they were werewolves who had built their town in almost the middle of nowhere. 

Besides all of those factors, natural disasters rarely happened to them, but when they did, they would always be very extreme. All the other packs knew this and sometimes would offer help when there were warnings of a natural disaster coming.
