Maddie’s heart was broken and her breath hitched at the sight before her. “You said nobody died, right?” She asked Nate. 

He shook his head. “Miraculously, no one did. There were only a lot of injured people, but no one lost their life, thankfully.” He flashed her a smile and then gently pulled her close to him, seeing that she seemed sad and shocked by the damage that was done. “Come here, it’s all going to be alright.” 

“Okay, but will we actually have to go into debt to get everything back to the way it was?” She could not help but ask.

He shook his head again. “Nope.” He popped the p in the word. “We have enough to get everything back up again, but not like it used to, even better. It will obviously make a huge dent in the pack’s finances but we don’t have much of a choice, do we?” He proceeded to plant a kiss on her head.
