Chapter 222. I Am the Luna

Maddie followed her father down a path that led to a cave, but before they could enter, the man said that she should wait so he could check for wild animals. She watched him as he walked inside of the place and in a few seconds, he came back and nodded, signaling that the cave was empty and safe. 

She headed into the opening and felt much better that the heavy rain was not pouring on her anymore. But she did know that she was going to maybe catch a cold or the flu after all of this but her main concern at the moment was what her father had said. 

She sat down in the corner of the cave and watched the man look around for god-knows-what before she finally pieced together that he was trying to gather things to start a fire. She did not think there was enough in the space to start one but she was surprised when the man already had all he needed. 

She watched him as he started a fire so easily, that must have been a skill that he had picked up from being a rogue
