Chapter 229. The Truth Revealed

Maddie did not know what to do or say. Everyone was looking at her as if she had grown a horn on her head. She looked around before looking at Nate and asking in a whisper, “What do I do?” 

Before Nate could reply, Lara spoke up, walking toward the omega, “You get up and you follow me. We don’t have forever.” She extended her hand when she reached the omega. 

Maddie could feel her heart thumping in her chest, she wondered if the others could hear it too. “Okay,” She replied in a soft tone before standing to her feet. She looked back at the alpha and he just shrugged. 

Maddie followed the lady out of the room and they walked down the hall in silence. She could feel the eyes of the woman on her but she made sure to look anywhere but at her. They soon reached a room and the lady pushed the door open and walked in, waiting for the omega.
