“Good morning, Maddie,” Her mother, May, greeted warmly, wheeling herself closer. “We brought you some clothes.” 

Maddie managed a small smile. “Thanks, Mom.” Then she glanced over at Lara. “Thank you also.” 

Lara nodded, placing the clothes on the bed. “I figured you’d need a variety, given the circumstances.” 

May’s eyes, full of concern and love, did not leave Maddie’s face. “Honey, when you’re done getting ready, come to my room. We need to talk.” Her voice was a bit nervous and she knew that. 

She did not know why she was nervous or maybe she did, but the truth was that she did not know how her daughter was going to react to her being a witch also. And she had just gotten the girl back, she definitely did not want to keep secrets. 

Maddie was a bit taken aback. Her interest was piqued, especially noticing the nervousness in the woman’s tone. She placed her phone on the bed and nodded. “Of course, Mom. Thanks again for the clothes,
