Chapter 240. Cold Showers

The day went by in a blur but it was nice. Maddie struggled to accept the fact that she had run away from what she used to call her life, she struggled to accept the idea that Nate now hated her, and not only him but almost an entire pack. 

It honestly made her sad, but she knew that she had made the right choice, she knew that she had done the right thing. But if that was true, why was she feeling like crap? If she had done the right thing, why were tears in her eyes as she lay on the bed, in a bedroom alone? 

Even though the house was not like the villa back home, it had a lot of rooms, small and humble ones. There was so hot water or heated towel racks, and there were no king-sized beds or anything like that that would scream luxury, but the omega truly did not care. 

At least she was safe considering that she had just cheated death; she literally had done that by Jacob and Lara breaking her out of that prison and helping her find this place.
