Chapter 243. Having a Talk

Maddie felt her heart rate quicken as she looked up at Jacob. The warmth of his hand was comforting and she basked in it. “What is it, Jacob?” She asked softly, a mix of curiosity and apprehension in her voice. 

Jacob took a deep breath, trying to steady his nerves. “Maddie, ever since I met you, I have felt this connection between us. I know that I f*cked up the first time that we dated but I can’t ignore the fact that I’m crazy in love with you. I feel like you’re my person and I have been trying to show you that; trying to win your heart back.” 

He swallowed before continuing, “I know that you said that you are torn between Nate and I and that you have equal feelings for the both of us. But after everything that has happened recently, I just felt the need to ask you this. Will you be my girlfriend?” His heart pounded in his chest as he stared at her.
