The sight of them sent a shiver down Jacob’s spine, but he forced himself to remain outwardly calm. Nate gestured for him to enter the cell. “Sit,” He commanded, his voice brooking no argument. 

Jacob hesitated for a moment but then complied, walking slowly to the chair and sitting down. He did not want to make things even more complicated than they were. He just wanted to get this over with and back home. 

He was going to do what Lara had told him to do, he was going to stick to the story of not knowing anything about the omega’s escape from the prison. No matter what, he was going to stick to that story.
