Chapter 254. Ultimatums

Nate took a deep breath, his frustration evident in the tight set of his jaw. He was really being pushed against the wall. He did not want Maddie to sit here, not now, not ever. If it was going to be somewhere else, then maybe yeah, but not with Damion. 

“We can’t just leave you here, Maddie. Stop this. This isn’t your home. It’s a place you ran to out of fear and desperation. 

Maddie scoffed and then shook her head. “Out of fear and what? You know what? Maybe that’s true, but you’re wrong about the first part. This is my home. This is where I belong. I was born here and taken to your pack when I was a baby. My town is not yours, my pack is not yours, I am from the Shadow Pack.” She felt tears fill her eyes as she explained. 

Nate looked at his beta and then at Vanessa for some help but it looked like they were out of ideas too. So he decided to just go with the flow, but he was not just going to roll over for the rogue alpha, he was not going to let Damion
