Chapter 255. Rain, Rain, Rain

It was now night and Maddie was sitting outside, tears filling her eyes. She was lying on the grass alone and watching the stars. They were so pretty and bright; they looked surreal. She had even seen a shooting star.

And what did she wish on? She wished that she would be happy. Right now, that was all she wanted. She was tired of all the drama. She was tired of being in pain and with all the anxiety and nervousness.

She knew…she knew that she could not return to the town. She knew that she would go straight back to prison if she did that. She knew that the elders would not forgive her, she knew that the pack would not forgive her.

They all now knew that her father was the one who was responsible for the death of the previous Luna, how on earth could she be forgiven? How was that going to be possible, to say the least?

She was glad about one thing though, or maybe she was being delusional. But she felt like Nate was not as pissed at her as before.
