Author’s POV

Alpha Caden watched the garden using the cameras. He hadn’t left his office since she had come out. He didn’t want to be close to her, her presence was unholy. He hated the way his flesh recoiled from the thought of it.

Something had to be done soon. Although the doubts he had begun to plant in Cassian’s head were taking roots he could see it being destroyed soon. His son wasn’t a complete fool. It wouldn’t take too long to learn that some of those notes were created and false.

He had planted them a while in the witch’s house although he hadn’t killed her. He felt a sort of gratitude to whoever had done the job for him. If he found them, they would receive an award from him.

What if Cassian’s search in the library yielded the truth. Alpha Caden wasn’t sure what he would do then but he wouldn’t let it happen. He watched Rhea, the way she moved. It was slow and deliberate, was she totally fine now?
