Author’s POV

Cassian remembered the content of the envelope even now when he should have been focused on sparring. He had spent the day after doing this. He had to find a way to get rid of the tension that riddled him.

Yesterday when he had granted Rhea a wish of hers, he had been contacted. By the very people who had wanted to kill her and now, he couldn’t protect her fully. He hated that he had doubt in his heart as well. He was no different from them.

He dodged the kick coming and countered it with a hit that sent the guard skittering across the floor. Everyone around him stopped in shock and fear. Sparring was never done so seriously. “And that’s how you lost against those weak rogues” he said and took the gloves off before leaving the ground.

He wondered if they would think he was losing it. That the stress of all this was driving him mad. They would never have been more wrong about something. He sighed to himself and walked to his room.
