Lucian stared at the landscape through his window. He watched as the leaves skittered all over the garden. The guards that waited

vigilantly. All of it was happening in front of him. He was cautious, he panicked.

His mind went back to what the watch had told him. Every time he remembered, he hated the panic that gripped him. He didn’t want to believe it but she had told him. She didn’t seem like she lied, why would she come here only to lie?

She was a witch, they hardly lied. She had come from far, saying that she had been sent. If she didn’t tell Rhea, she would have suffered the consequences of it. So when she said it, Lucian had believed her completely.

He recounted the conversation.

“What is the message? Tell me everything you know” he gritted out, unable to take her games for any longer.
