Dorian’s POV

“What?” My eyes widened in shock, it felt like the room was still, like I was the only one moving. It felt like my whole world; the whole room was spinning around me and I could do absolutely nothing to stop it.

“What is Max going to do to him?”

“To Justin?”

Anora said nothing, her face showed signs of her regretting ever saying anything. She cursed quietly. Everything angered me, so I did my best to calm down. I tried to remind myself that it is not her fault, she is under Max’s thumb, she has no choice but to stay quiet.

I tried to make all these excuses for her, to justify her not telling me anything more. I tried to justify this, to soothe my anger, to get myself to calm down but nothing worked.

She has the answers! She has the fucking keys that can get us out of here! She can set us free, she can help us return to our normal lives but she chooses to stay quiet! No matter how much I tried to justify her silence, I couldn’t.
