Rheaʼs POV

Cassian and I sat together in silence. It was a comfortable kind of silence, one that held no awkwardness or weirdness. We just sat side by side with each other, with each of us alone with our thoughts. My thoughts lingered around him, I wondered about him life; what does it feel like to be Cassian Ashford, the middle child of the triplet heirs? How was his childhood like? How did it feel to be groomed all his life to eventually take over his father’s throne? Did he ever feel some kind of way when the media outlets would point out that he was the most favored one amongst his siblings? That he was his father’s favorite, the obvious pick for the throne’s continuity?

I wondered how different his life must have been to mine. My life although riddled with suffering and rejection was not all that bad, I still had the safety of my unbounded imagination to keep me safe.
