Lucian’s POV

“My son,” Alpha Caden said to me with a smile as he moved closer. The stern look that had originally been on his face, his originally hardened glanced softened.

I flinched in apparent shock, I stared in understandable confusion.

I wondered if he had indeed called me that or if I had misheard him.

If all this was real of If this was nothing more than a crazy dream that I had somehow conjured in my worked up head.

With all the things that is going on, with Cassian out there in the open, with the fear that my secret would soon be out, that my plans will go to shit, with everything going on, I wondered if I had just conjured everything that just happened up.

If it was not actually real, just fragment of my imaginations

I must have imagined what he said earlier about me disappearing because the sudden switch from that to this makes no sense. It’s either I imagined that or the part where he called me son did not happen.
