Lucian’s POV

Argh! This dude! This is not yet the part where he walks in! I am supposed to set up all the ground works first! The plan is for me to make sure everything is placed in its spot and then he’d be summoned from his throne after Cassian has taken his last breath, when his beloved son lays still and unmoving on the bed. He was only supposed to show up when there’s nothing more that can be done for Cassian, after the time of death has been finalized and the death certificate has been issued.

I stared at him, he stared back. He had his phone in his hand, his fist clenched on to it like it was something that he was warned never to let go of. The anger and irritation on his face was unmistakable but like almost every time recently, I did not care.

Gone was the young boy who continually sought for his father’s approval, now I did not care, I have not cared for a long time, all I care about these days is getting what is rightfully mine; the throne.
