“So have you heard from him since?” Georgie asked with almost too much interest.

“I mean no. I’ve basically told him I want nothing to do with him on more than one occasion.” Noelle sighed.

“Which is a lie, and you know it. You have been obsessing over this guy for YEARS. At least let him take you out so you can find out if he is the asshole we think he is. If he is, then you know, and you can move on.” Noelle hated when Georgie made sense.

“So what do I do? It’s been weeks since I saw him, and we haven’t spoken since.”

“Text him. Quick, easy and impersonal, so if he shoots you down, recovery time is swift.” Noelle grinned at her friend’s logic.

“Good point. We both know my ego is fragile.”

“My point exactly.”

“Ok, I will text him. I will call you later and let you know how it went.”
