Chapter 31
Theo and Vienna had agreed on Vienna keeping the girls again for the Christmas holiday since Theo had a game and would be traveling as usual. With every game that passed, Theo felt himself more and more tempted to make this his last season. He loved the game, but after nine years of playing professional ball, it had taken a toll on his body. Financially there was no need for him to work ever again, even after the money he was giving Vienna in the divorce, but he was still drawn to the commentator position that ESPN was offering him.
Most of all he was happy that he had held on to the farm. He had plans now. Plans that were coming together a bit slower than he had originally wanted, but everything was very much worth the wait. He was ridiculously happy. Even though Kat was in Georgia and he was in Minnesota, just the knowledge that she was finally his woman, made him feel like the luckiest bastard in the world.
