Chapter 36

After a lovely New Year’s Eve celebration with neighbors and friends at Kat’s house, Theo headed back to Minnesota to finish the season. So far, they were doing well and were headed to the playoffs. His body was holding up well, and he was in great physical shape. 

Shane had asked a bit about Theo’s plans for the next season since he had only signed the contract with Minnesota for one, and he had decided to invite Shane over for dinner to discuss his options. 

“So what way are you leaning with all this?” Shane asked and burped discreetly. They had feasted on steak and baked potatoes, and now they were lounging on the couch by the TV. 

“I’m leaning toward the ESPN job. You know? Quit playing while I’m on top and not be one of those old guys on the field that can’t keep up with the young talent.” Theo took a swig from his beer.
