Chapter 32
Even though Katrina was doing fine in Georgia, she missed Virginia. She missed her friends, and she missed Edith terribly. Edith who had sat her down and had a long chat with her after Theo had left that evening during the Thanksgiving trip. She had told Kat that she had never seen Theo in the state he had been after they had split.
“That boy loves you more than he loves himself,” she had said kindly to Kat who had been trying her best to hold the tears in.
“I love him too,” she had responded, and Edith had laughed at her.
“Girl, I ain’t blind.”
Katrina had laughed with Edith then, but her cheeks had turned slightly pink. Shane had seemed content too. Joey still didn’t know the extent of their relationship, and for now, she wanted to keep it that way. For now, she would take it all one day at a time. All she had managed to decide was that Joey would celebrate Christmas with his father
