Chapter 27. Alana Disappears

Leo leaned back in his wheelchair, massaging his temples slowly. The two-hour meeting had truly drained him mentally. There were some issues with the new project Reno was handling, and Leo had to get involved. Moreover, when Leo entered his office, Pedro immediately presented him with a stack of white papers that seemed to have disappeared from Leo's desk at some point.

Leo felt those papers could reproduce themselves, as his desk never seemed to be free from that pile. Leo was about to reach for one of the files he needed to sign when suddenly, someone knocked on his office door.

"Come in," Leo said, revealing Miranda, who was smiling at him.

"Is Aunt here?" Leo asked, causing Miranda to walk towards the sofa, and Leo reluctantly approached her, leaving his breakfast that Pedro had provided.

"I was bored at home earlier, and I had the idea to see Selena's first day at work. So, here I am," Miranda said, making Leo nod
