Chapter 28. Imagine a Child
Slowly, Alana began to open her eyes as her vision blurred, looking around. She took a deep breath and tightly closed her eyes again. After a few attempts, Alana could finally see clearly the ceiling of her room and also Leo.
"Are you awake?" someone with a familiar deep voice asked, making Alana shift her gaze to the side, where Leo was right beside the bed, holding her hand.
"What happened to me?" Alana asked weakly.
"You were found unconscious in the car. What happened?" Leo asked again, causing Alana to fall silent. She tried to recall the events she had experienced earlier.
Alana's memories started to flood her mind. She remembered stopping her car on the side of the road when her stomach began to cramp again, and her head started throbbing.
