Chapter 32. Dreaming of Another Man
Leo blinked several times, then looked beside him where Alana was still sound asleep. He glanced at the clock on the nightstand, indicating it was two in the early morning. It was unusual for Leo to be awake at this hour, but after a moment of silence and contemplation, he remembered experiencing similar wakefulness since the accident. Leo had never had restful sleep since then.
In the past few months, however, Leo felt he could sleep soundly, especially since someone occupied the other side of the bed. Leo realized this change after marrying Alana, and her presence made him rarely wake up in the middle of the night. Leo furrowed his brow, wondering why he had to be awake again today.
The next moment, he noticed that Alana wasn't acting as usual. Normally, Leo would feel someone warm embracing him, but now Alana lay in the same position as a few hours ago when he fell asleep at the edge of the bed, separated by a bolster.
Leo took a deep breath and tried to close
