Chapter 31. Trying to Ignore Leo
For the past hour, Leo had been anxiously checking the time on his wristwatch. For some reason, he couldn't even focus on reading the book that lay in his lap. Instead, he kept glancing towards the empty bed, which usually housed a creature that couldn't stay quiet, ready to accompany Leo's reading with irrelevant chatter.
It was already seven in the evening, yet his wife hadn't returned, and Leo was too proud to reach out to Alana. Consequently, he chose to wait for her to come back. However, just as he stopped thinking about Alana and imagined her, the door to their room suddenly opened, revealing Alana walking wearily. She tossed her bag and kicked off her heels before collapsing onto the bed, closing her eyes.
"You're back. Where from?" Leo asked coldly, but it seemed to have no effect on Alana.
"From the bakery," Alana replied nonchalantly, causing Leo to bristle. He knew beforehand whom Alana had gone out with, thanks to Pedro's information, and now her answe
