Why was Winona not my mate?

That question kept popping up in my mind.

Winona was my first love. I fell in love at first sight with Winona when we met at sea on the Purple Sea Pack.

I didn't immediately express my feelings to her. I was embarrassed. I've never liked women before.

All this time, women had expressed their love for me until I was sick of hearing it and weary of being around women.

Winona was a woman who interested me, and I wanted to be with her.

I kept my love for her a secret for a year but finally mustered the courage to confess my feelings two months ago.

I was pleased with Winona. I wanted to make her my mate, but my wolf disagreed because we hadn't met our mate yet.

I had given up looking for our mate while my wolf forced me not to give up.

Winona and I celebrated our two-month relationship anniversary five days ago. A day later, I met my mate at my best friend's house.
