Arnold stood directly in front of his father; his eyes filled with an unmistakable hostility that surprised Miguel the moment his brain cleared. 

Miguel lost it when he overheard his son admitting to his sweetheart, who was inappropriately dressed, especially in the company of a guy, although her attire was appropriate, especially at night. And his rage was fueled by what he saw and heard, as well as the message he had gotten earlier. 

“When are you going to stop staring at me like that?” Miguel sarcastically questioned his kid. 

Arnold felt like punching his father after witnessing what had transpired on a man-to-man basis. He never dated, but that didn’t mean he was a moron when it came to issues of the heart.
