Chapter 26. Disappointed

Lucilla became concerned when she noticed multiple missed calls from Avita on her phone. 

Beauty and the girls invited her to the club, where they partied like crazy. They drank too much, though, and eventually fell asleep without a care in the world. As a result, she was unable to hear any calls that came in last night. 

She panicked because Avita was not the type of person who loved calling relentlessly. So, unless something out of the ordinary happened, she would not do something like that. Her concerns were heightened when she tried to call her, but the call was unsuccessful. She ignored her stepmother's missed calls and went to check on Avita. 

She was aware that Avita was no longer employed at her previous job and was now self-employed. So, if she wanted to see her, the best place to find her would be at her apartment. And she went to find her there.
