Amelia's POV

I stared at the mobile phone in my hand with wide eyes.

"When did you get this?", I asked, looking up at William.

"Uh, on Monday", he replied and I tried to remember what happened on Monday.

"And depending on the events on Monday night, I could not give it to you", he added and that was when I remembered.

I had gone to the mall with Mirabel on Monday and I came home with that short dress.

"Oh", I said before looking up at him again.

"Come on, switch it on", he urged by raising his right hand upward, towards the box in my hand.

I looked at the phone which was still inside the box in my hand before looking back at him again.

"Thank you", I said in a calm tone and he stared at me before nodding his head.

I walked away from his table, hoping to check out the phone when he talked all of a sudden.
