"Hello, you messed up our order. I asked for a medium rare steak."
"I apologize, Mr Houston. I'll get your order fixed right away."
"Thank you, Cheryl."
Malia took a sip of her wine and made her back straighter. She watched the interaction between Grant and the waitress, noting how the woman's hands were shaking slightly. Malia's eyes moved to Grant, he was smiling warmly and looked charismatic. The waitress bowed and took the plate of misordered steak away.
"You know her name?" Malia quipped the moment the waitress was out of sight.
"Yes, I know the names of all my workers."
She raised a brow and dropped the wine glass on the table. "She works for you?"
He smiled fondly at her and picked up his wine glass. He took a sip before he said, "Yes, I own this place."
Malia blinked in shock. "I had no idea." That would explain the lack of paparazzi looking for a scoop. That would also explain the somewhat empty place.
