"She seemed scared." Malia said, once she'd left.

"It didn't look like that to me." 

Malia resisted the urge to roll her eyes. "That's not.... the dish was fine. I told you I ..."

"It wasn't at its most authentic taste," Grant said. His eyes lit up with an idea. "Perhaps we can make it together, a fun idea for spending more time together."

Malia got the mental image of her and Grant in their large useless kitchen, making ravioli and laughing together. Perhaps it would be like the cute couples in the shows, sprinkling flour on each other and having a good time.

It didn't seem like a bad idea.

"No." She said and shook her head. "I'd burn down the house."

"Come on," he said with a teasing smirk, "you can't be that bad, can you?"

"I've had chefs all my life, I assure you my father never let me boil water a day in my life. He thought something terrible would happen."

"Fine then. I'll do the cooking, you do the dishes."
