Chapter 46

Malia stared at the large gates that opened to reveal her childhood house and she couldn't bring herself to feel anything but exhaustion. Grant halted the car to a stop in front of the house.

"Are you coming with me?" Malia asked. 

Grant lowered his head, looking at the house. He clicked his tongue and said, "I'd say your father has had enough of me for a while."

Malia decided not to ask. She started to open the door but he quickly stopped her and got out of the car. He opened the door and held his hand out for her. She took his hand, gripping his fingers too hard.

"Relax, okay?" He said softly still holding her hand.

"I'm relaxed. Don't I look relaxed?"

He shook his head "No darling, you look very tense." He kissed her cheek. "Call me once you're through."
