As Victor approached us, I could sense the tension in the air. His eyes were fixed on me with an intense gaze as he signaled Gloria to leave with him. She hesitated for a moment, as if unsure of what to do, but then gave me a small smile and said goodbye. I watched as they walked away, Victor’s arm around her waist possessively.
