Chapter 33. Reconstruction (1)

"Dawn and seeing the gray day hurt. Hearing the silence hurt. Feeling lost hurt. Seeing my love broken, empty, hurt.

It hurt so much to see the love of my life, destroyed."

JaeMin remained silent all day and night. He lay in the same position on the bed, and when he slept, he woke up the same way.

"I understood and felt all of that. It hurt in me, but it surely hurt him more. JaeMin had lost a part of himself, and ours, which was very significant and painful. We could still have our babies in the future, but that pain, that event, had devastated us in such a great way that maybe it wasn't even a near dream anymore. Maybe not even a dream."

He groaned in pain. He groaned when he moved out of obligation. The painful stillness made me want to scream with anger, bitterness. It was as if I was back in the recovery of our baby, but now it hurt so much, there was no baby.

"Surprisingly, the same nurse, Rosa, was
