But I guess pity is something he doesn't need, so I just looked at him and politely said goodbye with a slight nod of my head and a smile.
In the elevator, Lee remained silent, unlike the boy I met who couldn't stop talking for a second.
In the car, he opened the door for me, and I thanked him with a small smile as I watched him go around the car and sit in the driver's seat.
The journey would be quick, but the silence was very uncomfortable, almost embarrassing.
"So...," Lee caught my attention. "Are you okay?"
I nodded, still looking at him.
"I am, and you?"
"I'm great." He nodded, his eyes still on the road. "Your... Your belly is quite visible now, and it's beautiful, too."
I placed my hand on my little belly and caressed it.
"Stop lying that no belly in the shape of a ball is beautiful."
He denied it and briefly looked into my eyes.
