MARGA’S POINT OF VIEW

I woke up early in the morning to check if the cook had already arrived but unfortunately she was not. So, I decided to cook a simple breakfast instead while everyone is asleep.

This is our usual breakfast at home when I was still going to school. My aunt often prepared this for Lucas and I. I made sure I didn’t make any noise in the kitchen so I wouldn’t wake everyone in the house.

“The smell makes me hungry,” a voice echoed in the kitchen.

I was startled to see Marco's mom and so was she when she saw me. “You’re up too early, why are you cooking? Is our cook not yet here?” She looked around as if she was looking for the cook.

“Not yet. I woke up early so I decided to cook breakfast for everyone since i know you guys have work,” I said.

“You don’t have to, Marga,” she said. I thought she’d be angry, but she even said thank you for the effort.
