Chapter 18

Selene's POV

I just stood there watching as Jason cheerfully approached Dominic and lifted him up.

Dominic's expression remained startled as he picked up Daisy.

Dominic said of his brother, "Jason, do you know Selene?"

He nodded and smiled. He proudly stated, She did help me, brother, when someone hurt me."

I returned home.

Dominic cast a curious look at me. It appeared to inquire as to what Jason meant by it.

I sighed as I scratched the back of my neck.

"It's a long story," I said as I turned away from him. "But, if you're really curious, I can tell you what happened."

He should know what happened to his brother because he is Jason's sibling.

Dominic agreed with me, so we went in search of a seat.

We happened to be near a convenience shop where we were earlier, so we just hung around there.
