Selene's POV

"Selene?" Dominic asked.

I couldn't talk right away and kept a worried expression on my face.

Sh*t! I'm at a loss for words! Why did I shove Dominic?

"S-sorry!" I exclaimed as I rose from my chair. "I just need to get out of here before I get scolded."

I immediately departed in front of them after saying that. I didn't wait for them to say anything.

I caught them glancing at me for a brief minute. Ugh!

I just held my cheeks together while feeling the burning in my ears.

To calm myself down, I fanned myself and took deep breaths.

When I got away from them, I paused for a moment.

"Why the hell did I do that to him?" I wondered.

Normally, I don't become easily agitated by such things. I wouldn't be like this even if Haruki came to me.

Is this the result of consuming his blood?

I shook my head and chewed my nails.

But never mind. I'll just go home and look for an explanation.
