Selene's POV

"But, honestly, if the vampire is one of us, I wouldn't hesitate to..."

I was surprised when a hand covered both of my ears, causing Jane to lose my attention.

I immediately touched that hand and quickly turned to the behavior of the person who did it.

"It's better if you don't listen to them," Dominic spoke softly to me with a serious face.

At first, I couldn't immediately react to what he said, but when I realized it, I quickly laughed softly.

"What are you talking about? I'm not listening to what Jane is saying." I spoke softly to him.

He just looked seriously at my face, causing my heart to beat faster.

"Liar." My mouth dropped at what he said.

"Liar? When did I lie to you?" I asked him.

"Just now."

"How can you tell?"

"I wasn't referring to anyone earlier, but you suddenly mentioned a name. That means you're listening to them."

I winced when I heard what he said. What the
